Local Conversations on Minority Health

In support of the National Partnership for Action to End Health Disparities (NPA) the Ohio Commission on Minority Health sponsored a statewide initiative to help guide health equity efforts at the local and state levels. The Commission sponsored a series of nineteen local conversations on minority health throughout the state. The purpose of these gatherings was to carry our community wide discussions on local health disparities on which health needs could be identified and prioritized from the community's perspective. The Canton City Health District partnered with the Commission to sponsor a series of conversations in Stark County. These conversations were facilitated by Coming Together Stark County an with the generous support from Mercy Medical Center, Aultman Health Foundation, Stark State College of Technology, and AVI at Stark State College of Technology.
