Public Swimming Pool and Spa Information

The goal of the public swimming pool and spa inspection program of the Canton City Health Department is to assure that safe public swimming pools and spas are provided to our citizens.  To that end, our staff regularly inspect public pools and spas in the city.  We strive to educate and inform the pool and spa operators within our jurisdiction, believing that education is the best tool toward pool/spa safety.  In addition, all pool and spa complaints are investigated by our unit, and laboratory testing can be implemented when a recreational water illness is suspected.
