Let's Take Care of Each Other, Stark County

Ongoing trends confirm that Stark County is experiencing an increase in unintentional overdose (OD) deaths within the African American community. There also appears to be a significant and disproportionate gap existing when it comes to access to care and resources. Based on the findings of a Fall 2021 Knowledge and Awareness survey, CCPH has identified 8 key themes surrounding OD in general and prevention using harm reduction techniques. Using the tagline “KNOW Overdose” so graciously loaned by the National Harm Reduction Coalition, we have developed a social media campaign to bridge this gap and provide lifesaving resources to the affected community. Below are 8 public campaign posters that you may have seen on our social media and will be shared throughout Canton to help empower and educate the community.
