Temporary food licenses are issued for special events that last no longer than five days, except for the Stark County Fair, during which local vendors can operate for seven days. If you are planning a temporary event with your group or association, the following forms are for your information. The Temporary Event Guidelines form will assist you as you plan your event. The Temporary Food Permit Information form must be completed and returned to the Canton City Health Department prior to obtaining a license. Both forms are informative and helpful for temporary event operators. The fee for a temporary application is $30.00 per day for commercial operators and $15.00 per day for non-commercial operators. The event will be inspected by health department personnel during operation of the temporary food service. When you have completed the Temporary Food Permit Information questionnaire, call the Canton City Health Department at (330) 489-3327 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to obtain an application for your event. Our department will be glad to answer any questions regarding temporary licensing. |
