Pollen Count Information Pollen counting has been recognized as an important process since the turn of the 20th century. Not only have pollen counts advanced our knowledge of the role plant pollen plays in causing allergy, they have become a powerful tool in day-to-day, individual health problem solving. Pollen counts are derived from rotorod samples on the 2nd story roof of the Canton City Health Department. The readings are taken from a 24 hour period/24 hour average on all work days. Daily pollen counts are available from the Canton Repository and WHBC, or by calling the Canton City Health Department at (330) 489-3231. For more information about pollen counts, please visit American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology or Pollen.com.
** The pollen count is a number comprised of various types of pollen (i.e. grass, tree, weed, etc.). For a breakdown of the individual pollen counts, contact the Canton City Health Department at (330) 489-3231. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
