Nursing Division
E.S. Chong, MD, Medical Director
Diane Thompson, RN, Director of Nursing

A variety of clinic services are provided to Canton City residents by the Nursing Division such as childhood immunizations and tuberculosis testing. Clinic services available without residency requirements are the Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinic, Travel Clinic, and Counseling and Testing Site (HIV testing) Clinic. All services offered by the Nursing Division are provided at no charge, except for the Travel Clinic.

The nurses work closely with the Environmental Health Division as well as other community agencies and schools to help resolve health related problems. Nurses are available to provide information to interested groups about their services, information on AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases and also other health issues. Please call (330) 489-3322 for more information on the Nursing Division.

The HIV/AIDS Program coordinates prevention and care efforts for a multi-county region. The program provides direct services such as education and HIV anti-body testing.  Additionally, it assesses gaps in service, develops resources, and collaborates with other community agencies. HIV Prevention programs in Stark and Carroll Counties are a collaborative effort with the Regional HIV Prevention Community Advisory Group. Care programs are a collaborative effort of the Ryan White C.A.R.E. Consortium and Trillium Family Solutions and include Stark, Carroll, Harrison, Holmes, Tuscarawas and Wayne Counties.
