Outdoor Mold Count Information

Daily mold counts are available from the Canton Repository and WHBC, or by calling the Canton City Health Department at (330) 489-3231.

Mold counts are derived from rotorod samples on the 2nd story roof of the Canton City Health Department.  The readings are taken from a 24 hour period/24 hour average on all work days.

The mold count for July 1, 2009 is 4,665 per cubic meter.

Cautionary Statements

   Absent 0 No symptoms.
   Low 1 to 6,499 Only individuals extremely sensitive to molds will experience symptoms.
   Moderate 6,500 to 12,999 Many individuals sensitive to molds will experience symptoms.
   High 13,000 to 49,999 Most individuals with any sensitivity to molds will experience symptoms.
   Very High above 50,000 Almost all individuals with any sensitivity at all to molds will experience symptoms.  Extremely sensitive people could have severe symptoms.
